Jardeg is recruiting Ironworker Journeyperson to join the Heartland Constructors Inc. team at the Imperial Oil Kearl site near Fort McKay, Alberta for outage.
Come be a part of an outstanding team working with industry leaders who have been executing work at the Kearl site for over a decade. This is a temporary role starting Oct 31st, 2025 and running until November 24, 2025.
Responsibilities:
- Erect and Install scaffolding, construction cranes, derricks and other hoisting equipment.
- Assemble rigging (cables, pulleys, hooks) to move heavy equipment and materials. Assemble and erect pre-fabricated metal structures
- Check the alignments and join steel parts by bolting or tack welding them with an electric arc process.
Minimum requirements:
- Journeyperson Certification and/or Interprovincial Red Seal
- Satisfactory completion of a Pre-Access Drug and Alcohol Test
- Energy Safety Canada Common Safety Orientation (CSO)
- Energy Safety Canada Fall Protection
- Energy Safety Canada Confined Space Entry and Monitor
- Energy Safety Canada Wood Buffalo wildlife awareness
- Standard First Aid (Level A or C)
- Basic Rigging In person
- Driver’s License
