Jardeg is recruiting Welder Journeypersons to join the Heartland Constructors maintenance team at the Imperial Oil Kearl site in Fort MacKay, Alberta. Charter flights are provided from Calgary or Edmonton to site. While working on-site, workers will be staying at the Wapasu camp which will provide hot meals, lodging, workout facilities, Wi-Fi, commissary and much more! The successful candidate would be working 12 hours per day, on a 14/14 shift which allows for a good work life balance. CWB Welders perform the fabrication of machines, component stands, work platforms, work tools, handrails for mobile/semi-mobile heavy mining equipment and large construction equipment. Repairs to stands/work tools/work platforms/handrails associated to large construction equipment, mining & underground equipment.
Responsibilities:
- Weld up to 30 inches (FDI) per day when the material is available (some welds may be customized while others may be repetitive procedures to complete the work)
- Follow various company policies and procedures.
- Overhead Crane Ticket and experience is considered an asset
Minimum Requirements:
- Journeyperson Certificate of Completion in the Welding Trade
- CWB FCAW - All Positions
- CSO
- Fall Protection
- Elevated Work Platform
- Basic Rigging
- First Aid - Level A or C
- Valid Driver's License
- Satisfactory Drug and Alcohol Test
- Mask Fit Test
