Jardeg is recruiting B-Pressure Rig Welders to join the Heartland Constructors turnaround team at the Imperial Oil Kearl site in Fort MacKay, Alberta. While working on-site, workers will be staying at the Wapasu camp which will provide hot meals, lodging, workout facilities, Wi-Fi, commissary and much more! The successful candidate would be working 11.5 hours per day, on a blended rate. Start date will be approximately from May 8th, 2025 - May 28nd, 2025 on a 24/4 rotation.
Rig Welders- are expected to be proficient with double jointing, position welding, and roll welding on both pipe and pipe fittings. Welding will be completed in both yard and field environment. Welder join or sever metals in beams, girders, vessels, piping and other metal components, make metal parts used in construction and manufacturing plants, and weld parts, tools, machines and equipment.
Responsibilities:
- Weld up to 30 inches (FDI) per day when material is available (some welds may be customized while others may be repetitive procedures to complete the work)
- Use welding processes such as SMAW and FCAW to weld pressure piping
- Follow various company policies and procedures
Minimum Requirements:
- Journeyperson Ticket
- ABSA B-Pressure Certificate
- Standard First Aid (Level C or A)
- ESC Common Safety Orientation
- ESC Wood Buffalo / Wildlife Awareness
- ESC Confined Space & Monitor
- ESC Fall Protection
- Basic Rigging
- Valid Driver’s License
- Welding tickets and/or welder performance qualification testing required - as per Site's Performance Qualification testing of welder’s guideline:
- F3/F4
- CWB FCAW - All Positions
- CWB SMAW - All Positions
