Jardeg is recruiting an Equipment Operator for the Supply Chain Materials Warehouse at the CNRL Horizon site near Fort McMurray, Alberta. This is a 12-month temporary position on a 7 days on / 7 days off shift rotation, working 11.5 hours per day. The start date is March 9th.  Camp accommodation is provided at the Richardson camp with all rooms having a private washroom and flights are provided out of the Calgary or Edmonton flight hubs.

 An Equipment Operator will be expected to do but are not limited to the following tasks:

 

  • Perform work and operate all equipment in a safe and efficient way according to all relevant legislation, company and site policies and procedures.
  • Move material operating Zoom Boom and Skid Steer.
  • Perform pre-operational routine inspections of equipment.
  • Communicate and review hand signals with spotter.
  • Demonstrate safe operation of all equipment.
  • Read and understand the results and purpose of all gauges and equipment.
  • Properly maintain and service or has equipment serviced daily.   

 

Minimum Qualifications:

 

  • Satisfactory completion of a Pre-Access Drug and Alcohol Test
  • Common Safety Orientation (CSO) or CSTS-09
  • Telehandler Certificate
  • Front End Loader Certificate
  • Skid Steer Certificate
  • Valid Driver’s License
  • Satisfactory 3-Years Driver’s Abstract
  • Must be able to climb, bend and lift up to 50 pounds
