We are currently recruiting for Journeyperson Carpenters in Edmonton for the 142nd Pedestrian Bridge project in Edmonton!
This position is in Edmonton, AB and does not have camp accommodations, travel allowance, or living out allowance.
Shift is 5 days on 2 days off (with potential of nights) – chance to work overtime as per site needs
Responsibilities:
- Be able to comprehend blueprint readings and prepare layouts
- Understand industrial concrete forming, be able to build concrete forms, and other structures
- Look for, and fix deficiencies
- Checks accuracy of work, and makes adjustments as required
- Studies blueprints for work planning
- Constructs and forms chutes for pouring concrete
- Erects scaffolding, and ladders for assembling structures above ground level
- Informs immediate supervisor of abnormalities or defects and/or takes appropriate measures
Requirements:
- Preference will be given to a Journeyperson Carpenter Ticket from a recognized provincial training authority
- Non-ticketed carpenters must provide proof of hours relevant to the industrial Carpentry trade
- CSTS 2020 & WHMIS 2015 Certifications
- Fall Protection is an asset
- First Aid Certification
- Aerial Work Platform (AWP) Certification
- Ability to coach, mentor and train apprentices
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
- Describe and point out safety compliance and regulatory issues
- Reliable transportation
- Candidates must be legally able to work in Canada
