We are currently recruiting for a Heavy Equipment Technician (either a Journeyperson - Off Road, or a 3rd or 4th Year Apprentice) to join the team in the Edmonton, AB shop!

This position is in Edmonton, AB and does not have camp accommodations, travel allowance, or living out allowance.

 

The Heavy Equipment Technicians work with a wide range of equipment and specialty tools and are responsible for performing inspections, preventative maintenance and rebuilds on these units. Maintenance will include work on brake systems, engines, power trains, steering and suspension systems and electrical and fuel systems.

 

AS AN EQUIPMENT MECHANIC, YOU WILL:

Perform preventative maintenance on equipment and specialty tools.

REQUIREMENTS:

  • High School Diploma or GED required, along with some trade school or equivalent training
  • Heavy Equipment Technician (HET) - Off Road Journeyperson/ Heavy Duty Mechanic (HDM) Journeyperson OR a Registered 3rd Year or 4th Year Apprentice
  • Have at least 3 years of experience with maintenance and repair of support equipment
  • Hold a valid Class 5 Drivers License
  • Have extensive troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
  • Have excellent written communication skills to complete daily service reports
