We are currently recruiting for an Heavy Equipment Technician Apprentice (2nd or 3rd Year) to join the team in the Edmonton, AB shop!

This position is based out of the Edmonton shop, with travel to surrounding areas as needed.

 

The Heavy Equipment Technicians work with a wide range of equipment and specialty tools and are responsible for performing inspections, preventative maintenance and rebuilds on these units. Maintenance will include work on brake systems, engines, power trains, steering and suspension systems and electrical and fuel systems.

 

AS AN EQUIPMENT MECHANIC, YOU WILL:

Perform preventative maintenance on equipment and specialty tools.

REQUIREMENTS:

  • High School Diploma or GED required, along with some trade school or equivalent training
  • Heavy Equipment Technician (HET) – Registered 2nd or 3rd Year Apprentice
  • Have at least 2 years of experience with maintenance and repair of support equipment
  • Hold a valid Class 5 Drivers License
  • Have extensive troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
  • Have excellent written communication skills to complete daily service reports
  • Must be legally entitled to work in Canada
  • Satisfactory completion of Pre-Access Drug and Alcohol Test
