We are hiring at this time for the 156th & Yellowhead project in Edmonton for Carpenter (all levels) positions!
This position is in Edmonton, AB and does not have camp accommodations, travel allowance, or living out allowance.
Shift is 5 days on 2 days off – chance to work overtime if needed
Responsibilities:
- Be able to comprehend blueprint readings and prepare layouts
- Understand industrial concrete forming, be able to build concrete forms, and other structures
- Look for, and fix deficiencies
- Checks accuracy of work, and makes adjustments as required
- Studies blueprints for work planning
- Constructs and forms chutes for pouring concrete
- Erects scaffolding, and ladders for assembling structures above ground level
- Informs immediate supervisor of abnormalities or defects and/or takes appropriate measures
Requirements:
- Preference will be given to a Journeyman Carpenter Ticket from a recognized provincial training authority or be a Registered Carpenter Apprentice
- Non-ticketed carpenters must provide proof of hours relevant to the industrial Carpentry trade
- Fall Protection and Confined Space is an asset
- Ability to coach, mentor, and train apprentices
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
- Describe and point out safety compliance and regulatory issues
