We are currently recruiting for a Labour Equipment Coordinator to join the team at the shop in Delta! This role is based out of the shop and yard which is located in Delta – please note this position will require working out of both the shop and yard and adjacent office. Occasional overtime is a possibility.
In the role you will:
• Maintain the working order of the shop and yard, staff, and equipment.
• Receive, coordinate, and monitor equipment and material requisitions.
• Organize transportation of equipment and materials to and from project sites.
• Monitor regional rental equipment and look for opportunities to deploy company owned equipment.
• Complete data entry for equipment or material transfers.
• Monitor and ensure adherence to quality control and brand standards.
• Orient visitors to the yard.
• Maintain inventory and coordinate with other shops.
• Field calls and requests as they come in.
• Lead meetings and carry out weekly inspections of materials.
• Provide freight estimates to operations and supervisor.
• Solve problems within scope (equipment supply, freight, material supply) and work closely with the supervisor/manager, escalating issues as necessary.
• Establish and maintain good relationships with project staff and internal supply chain staff.
• Establish and maintain strong relationships with logistics vendors.
• Demonstrate HSEQ 360 and Quality behaviours which reflect company expectations.
• Provide coaching and mentoring, leading by example.
• Communicate ideas, plans, and priorities to others.
• Listen, probe, and work to understand feedback and other people’s thinking.
• Meet and exceed the expectations and requirements of internal and external customers.
• Build and deepen customer relationships.
• Manage the experience of customers to ensure positive relationships are established and maintained.
Requirements:
• Demonstrates proficiency using a computer and communication tools such as SAP, email, internet, and Microsoft Office Suite
• 3-5 years of relevant construction or equipment, warehouse, or logistics experience
• CSTS Certification
• Knowledge of equipment, warehouse, and logistics processes and procedures.
• Driver’s License and reliable transportation required
• Minimum high school diploma.
• Candidates must be legally able to work in Canada
