Located in the Southern Athabasca region, MEG’s Christina Lake Project is a multi-phased project approximately 150 kilometers South of Fort McMurray in Northeast Alberta. Comprised of approximately 200 square kilometers of leases, this SAGD operation currently has regulatory approvals in place to produce approximately 210,000 bpd. All workers will be staying at the state-of-the-art Poplar Ridge Lodge, which boasts a gym, rec area, commissary, laundry facility, Wi-Fi, cable, custom sandwiches, as well as full breakfasts and dinners. We have an amazing, experienced site team at MEG Energy who have safety and efficient work practices at the top of mind.
Jardeg is recruiting Pipeline Spacers/Front End Crew Pipeliners with cold cutting and pre-heating experience to join the team at MEG Energy Capital Projects on site near Conklin, Alberta. Temporary full time positions. Embrace a well-balanced schedule, working 8-days on and 6-days off rotation, with each workday consisting of 11 hours.. Drive-in/ drive-out to site with Travel Allowance provided.

Currently a $500 ($250 each way) Travel Allowance is offered with the requirement to drive to and from site each shift.
Responsibilities:
- Layout, assemble, fabricate, maintain, and repair piping systems which carry water, steam, chemicals, or fuel used in heating, cooling, lubricating and other processes.
- Demonstrate knowledge of functional operation of various piping system components by measuring, cutting, threading, grooving, and bending of pipes, valves, and fittings.
- Use testing equipment effectively to check for system leaks and troubleshoot fitting errors.
- Cold cutting and pre-heating pipe
- Line up spacers perfectly straight on the carrier pipe
- All runners should line up straight like looking down a gun barrel
- Ensure all segments of the spacer correspond to the drawing
- Ensure load is uniformly applied to all casing spacers on each joint of the pipe
Requirements:
- CSTS 2020
- Fall Protection
- H2s Alive
- Satisfactory completion of a Pre-Access Drug and Alcohol Test
