Jardeg is seeking a Welder Apprentice to join the Integrated Constructors team in Cold Lake for the Turnaround on a 24 on 4 off rotation 12 hours per day with 4 hours of OT daily.
$175 Living out allowance (LOA) for those eligible
Travel allowance per rotation (determined by distance to site) for those that are eligible.
Welders join or sever metals in beams, girders, vessels, piping and other metal components, make metal parts used in construction and manufacturing plants, and weld parts, tools, machines, and equipment. Welders develop patterns for projects or follow directions given in layouts, blueprints, and work orders, as well as clean, check for defects and shape component parts, sometimes using a cutting torch and welding parts together.
Responsibilities:
- Comprehensive knowledge of ironworker materials, tools, and installation techniques
- Strong commitment to safety practices and protocols.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work efficiently in a team environment and independently as required.
- Effective communication skills to collaborate with team members and project stakeholders.
- Clean, check for defects and shape component parts, sometimes using a cutting torch.
- Weld parts together.
- Tack-weld fitted parts together.
- Straighten warped or bent parts, using sledges, hand torches
- Lay out and examine metal stock or workpieces to be processed to ensure that specifications are met.
- Assist Journeypersons as needed
Requirements:
- Welder Apprentice AIT certificate
- CSTS-2020
- WHMIS 2015
- CWB Ticket
- Satisfactory completion of a Pre-Access Drug and Alcohol Test
