Jardeg is seeking an Electrician Foreperson to join our team near Cold Lake Alberta on a 10 on 4 off shift with Daily Overtime.

Local only

Electricians install, alter, repair, and maintain electrical systems designed to provide heat, light, power, control, signal, or fire alarms for all types of buildings, structures, and premises.

We are looking for personnel with maintenance experience in plant-based settings and willing to provide training in areas where required. 

 

Responsibilities:

 

  • Experienced electrician journeyperson with skills and ability to lead team of journeypersons and apprentices. Assigning daily tasks and performing front line supervision for a crew of 8 to 12 workers. 
  • Conduct daily and weekly safety meetings and inspections and complete follow-up activities. Complete daily activity reports/daily logs and submit to Supervisor.
  • Promote and ensure the FLRA (Field Level Risk Assessment) process is conducted before every task with the crew. Review weekly servicing and preventative maintenance schedules. 
  • Reports back to the clients and/or the Project Manager on the progress of the job, the estimated time for completion and employee evaluations. 
  • Ensure all new hires/transfers receive required orientations. Attend and participate in site specific orientations.
  • Ensure adequate and suitable safety equipment, including PPE, is supplied, readily accessible, properly used and maintained.

 

Requirements:

 

  • Journeyperson Certificate
  • Construction Safety Training Systems (CSTS 2020) Certification
  • WHMIS 2015
  • Emergency First Aid
  • Ground Disturbance (Not Mandatory)
  • H2s Alive
  • Driver's License and a clean 3 Year Driver's Abstract
  • Satisfactory completion of a Pre-Access Drug and Alcohol Test
