Jardeg is currently recruiting Carpenter Journeypersons to work with Technical Workforce Inc. on the Fish Creek Wastewater Treatment Plant in Calgary, AB!
Living Out Allowance (LOA) is available for eligible candidates outside of the Calgary area. We welcome applications from skilled tradespeople across Canada who are looking to join a major infrastructure project with long-term opportunities.
This position follows a 10 days on, 4 days off schedule, with the possibility of working afternoons, evenings, and weekends.
As a Carpenter Journeyperson, you will:
- Build concrete forms
- Cut, shape, and join materials
- Identify and correct deficiencies
- Check the accuracy of work and make adjustments as required
- Read and interpret blueprints for work planning
- Construct and form chutes for pouring concrete
- Erect scaffolding and ladders for assembling structures above ground level
- Mentor and provide leadership to apprentice carpenters
- Report abnormalities or defects to supervisors and take appropriate corrective action
- Perform general site maintenance and housekeeping duties
Minimum Requirements:
- Preference will be given to candidates holding a Carpenter Journeyperson Certificate from a recognized provincial training authority
- Non-ticketed carpenters must provide proof of hours relevant to the industrial carpentry trade
- Experience with concrete formwork is required
- Fall Protection certification is considered an asset
- Experience operating telehandlers and manlifts is a strong asset
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Strong understanding of safety regulations and compliance requirements
- Must be legally entitled to work in Canada
