Jardeg is currently recruiting for Journeyperson Carpenters for work with Woodland Constructors at the Syrcrude/Suncor site in Fort McMurray, AB.

 

As a Journeyperson Carpenter you will:

  • Brief scope of work : composite crew with an Ironworker and laborer – installing slide rail shoring boxes, surveyed in will need offsets and string lines to ensure has we hydrovac these shoring boxes that they remain as close as possible to the initial layout completed by surveyor.
  • We will have a shoring rep from Finning assist us with step by step instructions for this crew.
  • Other duties will be to ensure access platform and ladders are installed appropriately for each shoring box as well as the perimeter guard rail secured to shoring. Assist with laborer on some of his or her duties on maintaining
  • Dewatering pumps and hoses ( installing French drains with rock, set your pump in place and discharge hoses are kept working) we will have some concrete pads that will need to get formed up around the perimeter of our fire water manifolds once they have been installed.
  • Build forms / install forms/ install rebar / buffalo board / knock outs where piping is penetrating to grade and eventually pour and place concrete.

 

Requirements:

  • CSTS-2020
  • Must be able to clear a pre-access drug and alcohol test
  • Valid Government Issued Identification
  • Must be legally entitled to work in Canada
