Jardeg is currently recruiting for Journeyperson Carpenter to work with our Gaetz Avenue/Waskasoo Creek Bridge Replacement Project team in Red Deer, AB!
 
The schedule for this position is 5 days on 2 days off; Monday to Friday, working 8-10 hours per day. There may be a chance to work overtime (this may include extended hours/ weekends and night shift) if the site requires.
 
This position is in Red Deer, AB and does not have camp accommodations, travel allowance, or living out allowance
 
 
As a Carpenter Journeyperson, you will:
 
  • Build forms for concrete
  • Cut, shape, and join specialty materials per specifications
  • Look for and fix deficiencies
  • Check accuracy of work, and makes adjustments as required
  • Study blueprints for work planning
  • Construct and forms chutes for pouring concrete
  • Erect scaffolding and ladders for assembling structures above ground level
  • Inform immediate supervisor of abnormalities or defects and/or takes appropriate measures
  • Act as a work leader and mentors to apprentice carpenters
 
 
Requirements:
 
  • Preference will be given to candidates with a Journeyperson Carpenter Ticket from a recognized provincial training authority
  • Non-ticketed carpenters must provide proof of hours relevant to the industrial Carpentry trade 
  • Certifications: CSTS & WHMIS
  • Fall Protection is required
  • First Aid is an asset
  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
  • Describe and point out safety compliance and regulatory issues
  • Must be legally entitled to work in Canada
