Jardeg is currently recruiting for a skilled and safety-focused Overhead Crane Operator to work with JCL Industrial Constructors for supporting our industrial construction activities at various sites in Saskatoon, SK.
 
The successful candidate will be responsible for safely operating overhead cranes to move, lift, position, and place materials, equipment, and structural components in support of construction operations.
 
Responsibilities:
 
  • Operate overhead cranes safely and efficiently in accordance with site procedures, regulations, and manufacturer specifications.
  • Perform pre-operational inspections and ensure equipment is operating safely.
  • Lift, move, position, and place heavy materials, equipment, and components.
  • Follow lift plans and communicate effectively with riggers and signal persons.
  • Conduct routine equipment checks and report deficiencies or maintenance requirements.
  • Maintain load control and monitor crane capacity limits at all times.
  • Participate in hazard assessments, toolbox talks, and safety meetings.
  • Ensure compliance with all safety policies and site-specific requirements.
  • Support other site activities as required while adhering to project schedules and quality standards.

 

Rquirements:

 

  • Valid Overhead Crane Operator certification
  • Safely operate overhead cranes with lifting capacities ranging from 5 to 50 tonnes
  • Minimum 2 years of overhead crane operating experience in industrial or construction environments.
  • Strong understanding of crane operations, rigging principles, load charts, and safe lifting practices.
  • Ability to interpret lift plans and follow work instructions.
  • Familiarity with applicable provincial OH&S regulations and industry safety standards.
  • Satisfactory completion of a Pre-Access Drug and Alcohol Test
