Jardeg is recruiting an Electrical General Foreperson for the upcoming Turnaround at the Orica Carseland site. This is a temporary position starting immediately and will be for approximately 5-6 months of work into 2026.

Shifts will fluctuate from a 9/80 (9 days over two weeks, 80 hours work) during pre-work, to 6/1 (12 hour days) during execution which begins in approximatelyApril.

Camp accomodations and flights not required as this site is less than 1 hour drive from Central Calgary.

The Electrical General Foreperson is responsible for the organization, direction, supervision and coordination of construction activities on the turnaround site as laid out in the applicable project execution procedures, site specific safety plan and project execution plan. Specifically, this scope will succesfully complete a full MCC change out and all wiring, temp power, and panel cleaning at the Orica site. General Forepersons will become subject matter experts by leading the work with verifying all wires from the 400 mcc to end devices and documenting for engineering to establish a construction work pack for the changing out of the 400 mcc and all wiring. Once complete, you will lead your workforce is succesful completion of the change out. 

  Responsibilities: 

• Organize and coordinate all electrical change out activities on a job site 
• Assist in the implementation and enforcement of project procedures, schedules, cost controls and reporting 
• Request and coordinate movement of tools, materials and equipment in accordance with established procedures and lead times 
• Identify potential changes to project scope and advises project superintendent of associated impacts 
• Assist in the coordination and planning of projects in a particular construction area 
• Monitor contractors, trades performance, progress and productivity 
• Ensure work complies with drawings and specifications 

  Position Qualifications: 

• Assets but not required: PMP and/or MMP designation
• Electrical Journeypersonman ticket / Red seal / Blue seal certification in good standing
• Formal supervisory or management training/certification is an asset 
• Must hold a valid Driver's License

• Common Safety Orientation (CSO) / CSTS 09 
• Fall Protection (Energy Safety Canada)
• Confined Space (Energy Safety Canada)
• AWP - Aerial Work Platform
