- Work under the direction of Journeyperson Carpenters and Forepersons while developing your carpentry skills on a large infrastructure construction project
- Assist with the construction, installation, and removal of concrete formwork systems.
- Learn to measure, cut, shape, and assemble wood and other materials according to project requirements
- Support the construction of concrete chutes, forms, and related structures used for concrete placement
- Assist in reading and interpreting drawings, blueprints, and layout information under supervision.
- Help erect, dismantle, and maintain temporary structures, scaffolding, and access systems as required.
- Perform material handling, site preparation, and general labour duties to support construction activities
- Inspect work with supervisors and identify deficiencies or concerns for correction.
- Follow all site safety procedures, participate in toolbox talks, and report hazards, incidents, or unsafe conditions immediately
- Inform immediate supervisor of abnormalities or defects and/or takes appropriate measures
- Maintain clean, organized work areas; remove debris and hazards; support end-of-shift cleanup
- Preference will be given to Registered Carpenter Apprentice from a recognized provincial training authority
- Non-ticketed carpenters must provide proof of hours relevant to the industrial Carpentry trade
- Experience with concrete formwork required
