Jardeg is recruiting Welder Journeypersons to join the Heartland Constructors maintenance team at the Imperial Oil Kearl site in Fort MacKay, Alberta. Charter flights are provided from Calgary or Edmonton to site. While working on-site, workers will be staying at the Wapasu camp which will provide hot meals, lodging, workout facilities, Wi-Fi, commissary and much more! The successful candidate would be working 12 hours per day, on a 14/14 shift (No overtime) which allows for a good work life balance. CWB Welders with mine-specific experience are needed to perform fabrication and repairs on heavy mining equipment. Candidates should have experience welding on mine-specific equipment such as D6-D11 dozers, 797 haul trucks, graders, and shovels. Experience in areas such as ice lugging, crack frame repairs, dump body repairs and rebuilds, handrails, fabrication, and gouging is preferred, but candidates with relevant experience in some of these areas will also be considered.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Weld up to 30 inches (FDI) per day when the material is available (some welds may be customized while others may be repetitive procedures to complete the work)
  • Follow various company policies and procedures.
  • Overhead Crane Ticket and experience is considered an asset 


Minimum Requirements:

  • Journeyperson Certificate of Completion in the Welding Trade
  • CWB FCAW - All Positions

  • Valid Driver's License
