Jardeg is currently recruiting for a Mobile Crane Operator, preferably with an A Ticket, or a B Ticket, with experience, to join the team at one of our Infrastructure projects! 

This position is located in Fort St. John, BC and the successful candidate will operate a MAEDA 285 Spider Crane. This position offers LOA, paid flights, and will run on a15/6 schedule at 10 hours/day.
 

A mobile crane operator is someone who has expertise in operating mobile cranes and extensive knowledge in materials and equipment utilized within the industry. Strong commitment and knowledge of safety regulations and standards.

 

In this role, you will:

 

  • Clean, lubricate and maintain the crane on a continuous basis
  • Must be able to complete a proper and in-depth inspection of the crane daily and monitor the crane performance on an ongoing basis to prevent malfunctions and damage
  • Complete specific work orders, providing sufficient detail for co-workers to acknowledge work completion and/or equipment issues.
  • Provide mechanical expertise and apply advanced analytical and trouble shooting skills to assist operations, maintenance and technical personnel in identifying and solving day to day equipment problems. 
  • Strictly adhere to safety regulations and precautions; complete required logs and inspection reports as required with regards to cranes in the OHSA Regulation.
  • Vast knowledge of lifting capacities of the mobile crane; ensure no load is lifted where the weight is unknown or overweight

 

Job Skills & Qualifications

 

  • Mobile Crane Level A ticket is preferred; B Ticket holders will be considered provided they have some Spider Crane operating experience 
  • 3-5 years’ related experience operating mobile cranes is strongly preferred
  • Experience in fast-paced infrastructure projects
  • Experience in maintaining and troubleshooting mobile cranes is considered and asset
