Jardeg Construction is currently seeking Welder Apprentices & Welder Helpers to join our Bonnyville Fabrication Shop team. This is a temporary full-time position on 5/2 rotation with 48 hours a week. 

 

Bonnyville: Fabrication Shop, does fabrication and installation of process piping, structural steel and skid packages for the oil and gas industry anywhere in Alberta.  

For over 40 years, the Bonnyville office and team have been providing specialized material requirements and technical services and support for industrial construction and applications. As a longtime part of the Bonnyville and area community, we take pride in supporting and contributing to local organizations that improve and enhance community life.

 

Responsibilities

  • Join or sever metals in beams, girders, vessels, piping and other metal components

  • Assist welders & Pipefitters in use of different welding processes and fillers depending upon the type of metal, its size and shape, and requirements for finished product strength.

  • Develop patterns for projects or follow directions given in layouts, blueprints and work orders; clean, check for defects and shape component parts, sometimes using a cutting torch weld parts together.

  • Assist welders & pipefitters in setting up equipment, preparing tools.

  • Ability to follow instructions and work independently or as part of a team.

  • Physical stamina and strength to perform manual labor in various weather conditions

  • Cleaning and preparation of construction activities.

 

Minimum Requirements:

  • CSTS 2020

  • WHMIS 2015

  • Satisfactory completion of Pre-Access Drug and Alcohol Test
