Jardeg is Seeking an Apprentice CWB Welder local to the Bonnyville/Cold Lake area to join our Fabrication Shop team.  Experience with Stainless Tig and Flux core will be an asset. This is a temporary full-time position on  5 days on and 2 days off rotation.

This will be a great opportunity for someone looking to be home every night through the winter and maybe beyond

 

Bonnyville's Fabrication Shop does fabrication and installation of process piping, structural steel and skid packages for the oil and gas industry anywhere in Alberta.  For over 40 years, the Bonnyville office and team have been providing specialized material requirements and technical services and support for industrial construction and applications. As a longtime part of the Bonnyville and area community, we take pride in supporting and contributing to local organizations that improve and enhance community life.

 

Welders join or sever metals in beams, girders, vessels, piping and other metal components, make metal parts used in construction and manufacturing plants, and weld parts, tools, machines, and equipment. Welders develop patterns for projects or follow directions given in layouts, blueprints, and work orders, as well as clean, check for defects and shape component parts, sometimes using a cutting torch and welding parts together.

 

Responsibilities:

 

  • Develop patterns for projects or follow directions given in layouts, blueprints, and work orders.
  • Clean, check for defects and shape component parts, sometimes using a cutting torch.
  • Weld parts together.
  • Tack-weld fitted parts together.
  • Straighten warped or bent parts, using sledges, hand torches, straightening presses, or bulldozers.
  • Lay out and examine metal stock or workpieces to be processed to ensure that specifications are met.

 

Requirements:

 

  • Welder Apprentice AIT certificate

  • CSTS-2020
  • WHMIS 2015

  • AWP

  • Fall Protection

  • Confined Space
  • Satisfactory completion of a Pre-Access Drug and Alcohol Test
