Jardeg is recruiting Ironworker Journeyperson to work at the Bonnyville Fabrication Shop Rotation would be 5 Days On and 2 Days Off. These positions will be needed for 6 months or more.

 

Rates have just been Increased at Bonnyville Fabrication Effective Dec 09, 2025

 

Ironworkers local to the area would be preferred

 

Bonnyville's Fabrication Shop does fabrication and installation of process piping, structural steel and skid packages for the oil and gas industry anywhere in Alberta.  For over 40 years, the Bonnyville office and team have been providing specialized material requirements and technical services and support for industrial construction and applications. As a longtime part of the Bonnyville and area community, we take pride in supporting and contributing to local organizations that improve and enhance community life.

 

As an Ironworker your key responsibilities include but are not limited to:

 

  • Erecting and installing scaffolding, construction cranes, derricks and other hoisting equipment. 

  • Assemble rigging (cables, pulleys, hooks) to move heavy equipment and materials. Assemble and erect prefabricated metal structures

  • Check the alignments and join steel parts by bolting or tack welding them with an electric arc process.

 

Minimum Qualifications:

 

  • Proven experience as a Journeyperson Ironworker, preferably in industrial or construction settings.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of ironworker materials, tools, and installation techniques.

  • Strong commitment to safety practices and protocols.

  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

  • Ability to work efficiently in a team environment and independently as required.

  • Effective communication skills to collaborate with team members and project stakeholders.

  • Ironworker Journeyperson Ticket
  • WHMIS 2015
  • Construction Safety Training Systems 2020 Certification 
  • AWP
  • Fall Protection
  • Confined Space
  • Satisfactory completion of a Pre-Access Drug and Alcohol Test
