Jardeg is recruiting Pipefitter Apprentice 2nd - 4th years to join our Bonnyville Fabrication Shop team. This is a temporary full-time position on a 5/2 rotation.

 

Bonnyville Fabrication Shop does fabrication and installation of process piping, structural steel and skid packages for the oil and gas industry anywhere in Alberta.  For over 40 years, the Bonnyville office and team have been providing specialized material requirements and technical services and support for industrial construction and applications. As a longtime part of the Bonnyville and area community, we take pride in supporting and contributing to local organizations that improve and enhance community life.

Previous fabrication and assembly shop experience is considered an asset.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Follow written and verbal instructions from foreperson, leadhand or journeyperson.

  • Layout, assemble, fabricate, maintain, and repair piping systems which carry water, steam, chemicals, or fuel used in heating, cooling, lubricating and other processes.

  • Demonstrate knowledge of functional operation of various piping system components by measuring, cutting, threading, grooving, and bending of pipes, valves, and fittings.

  • Use testing equipment effectively to check for system leaks and troubleshoot fitting errors.

  • Gather all pipe fittings required for the drawing package , document heat numbers, cutting pipe, prep fittings, prepping dlegs/trunnions.

  • Set up fittings and pipe to be tacked, Tacking experience required.

  • Experience with Fabrication and Assembly.

  • Able to read and interpret Acorn & isometric drawings.

 

Requirements:

  • Apprentice Certification required.

  • Construction Safety Training Systems - 09 (CSTS-09) Certification required.

  • WHMIS 2015

  • ESC Mobile Elevating Work Platforms

  • ESC Fall Arrest 

  • Satisfactory completion of a Pre-Access Drug and Alcohol Test
