Jardeg is recruiting for an Apprentice Welder or a Welder Helper to join the Cenovus Lloydminster team at the Upgrader in Alberta for an outage. We have an over 2 months position starting ASAP and ending June 15th. This would be a 4 days on and 3 days off; 10 hour per day rotation.

Preference will be given to those who are local to Lloydminster area. Living Out Allowance available to those who qualify.
As a welder apprentice, your responsibilities will include but not be limited to;
- Working knowledge of welding equipment involved with various welding procedures
- Have thorough knowledge of metals, arc electrodes, welding gases and gas welding filter rods.
- Use welding processes such as SMAW, GMAW, FCAW, GTAW, or SAW to weld pressure piping.
- Join or sever metals in beams, girders, vessels, piping and other metal components under supervision
- Able to prepare, fit up and bridge tack weld pipe for SMAW/GTAW process.
- Have a working knowledge of the welding equipment involved with various welding procedures
Minimum Requirements:
- Apprentice Welder Ticket (an asset)
- CSTS 2020
- Energy Safety Canada H2S Alive
- Energy Safety Canada Fall Protection
- WHMIS (2015)
- Satisfactory completion of a Pre-Access Drug and Alcohol Test
