Jardeg is recruiting a 3rd or 4th year Steamfitter/Pipefitter Apprentice to join the Cenovus Upgrader in Lloydminster, SK project team until end of year. Rotation is Monday - Thursday 10 hours/day.

 

LOA $170.00/day worked, for those who qualify

 

As a Steamfitter/Pipefitter apprentice your key responsibilities include but are not limited to:

 

  • Assist Journeyperson Steamfitter/Pipefitters with the layout, assembly, fabrication, maintenance, and repair of piping systems used to carry water, steam, chemicals, fuel, and other process materials.
  • Learn and apply piping installation techniques, including measuring, cutting, threading, grooving, and bending pipe, valves, and fittings under supervision.
  • Support the installation, maintenance, and testing of piping systems while developing an understanding of their operation and function.
  • Assist with pressure testing, leak detection, and troubleshooting activities to ensure piping systems meet quality and safety standards.
  • Safely use and maintain hand tools, power tools, and testing equipment as directed.
  • Read and interpret basic drawings, specifications, and work instructions while developing trade knowledge and technical skills.
  • Maintain a clean and safe work environment and comply with all company, client, and site-specific safety requirements.

 

 

Minimum Qualifications:

 

  • Registered and active 3rd or 4th year Pipefitter/Steamfitter certification.
  • Basic knowledge of pipefitting materials, tools, and installation techniques gained through training, education, or previous work experience.
  • Strong commitment to workplace safety and adherence to company, client, and site-specific safety requirements
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work efficiently in a team environment and independently as required.
  • Effective communication skills to collaborate with team members and project stakeholders.

  • Standard First Aid
