Position Scope

BFI is looking for a Skid Steer Operator to join our team at Syncrude.

Site: Syncrude

Project: E24018 – Firewater

Hourly Rate: $ 35.80

Shift schedule: 14 days on, 7 days off

Accommodations: Camp provided 

Experience Required: 

• Must have 2 years experience
• Grade work, working in highly congested work areas, live plant experience

Additional Comments: 

• Successful candidates will be required to join the International Union of Operating Engineers Local 955
• Benefits and pension are provided through Local 955 
• Clean shaven and nomex required

All successful candidates MUST provide the following items prior to confirmation of their start date:

• CSTS-09 or CSTS 2020
• WHMIS 2015
• Wood Buffalo Wildlife Awareness - Energy Safety Canada only
• Common Safety Orientation (CSO)
• Ground Disturbance 201 (Level 2)
• Valid class 5 Driver's License
• Drivers abstract - must be a minimum of 3 years and within 30 days
• Other certification may be required based on site requirements

Successful candidates must:

• Be proficient in English, both verbally and written
• Undergo and successfully pass the following testing:
• Breath Alcohol Test
• Urine Drug Test
• Fit for Work Test
• Vision Test

Shift, site, and start times are subject to change.
